If it is encouraging, edifying or moves you closer to God, than we have accomplished our true purpose - to glorify God and point others to Him. What makes it your favorite? You can probably give many answers to that question, but at the heart of your love for the movie is the story. The story is strong and holds together, it makes you laugh or cry, it makes you feel what the hero or heroine is feeling. Its story is authentic enough to transport you from your couch at home and take you to new places and see new things, then at the end deliver you back the more experienced. And that's what Bessie does. If you think a movie needs famous actors, whiz-bang special effects, or a million-dollar budget to make it great, I present Bessie for your consideration. Watching it sure made me reconsider what makes a good movie. I really enjoyed it because it has such a wonderful story.
