Hurrying through the rush of daily life, James Black decides to take a shortcut through an alley, little imagining how his life is about to change. James meets and befriends a poor girl named Bessie and discovers the true value of a human soul and the time God has given us.
Bessie is the dramatic retelling of the history behind the hymn -
“When The Roll is Called Up Yonder”
