Filmed at the Christian Filmmaker’s Camp in Colorado, Hearing God was a true team effort as each student at the camp directed one or two scenes in the film short. Stacie plays the lead role and acted the part of a young woman struggling with hearing God’s voice in the midst of her physical disability – losing her hearing. Timothy also appears in the film as the sign language teacher. Stacie and Timothy have both learned sign language and have many deaf friends. The story concept was based off of real experiences or stories told to them by their deaf friends.
